  • Cancellations for sessions, lessons, clinics that are within 24 hours of the scheduled time are considered a "no show" and will be billed for the entirety of the scheduled lesson.

  • Weather can be a real thriller too! If it's raining cats and dogs with visible lightning, sideways winds of 25+ mph, sleet/hail, and/or snow we may reschedule.  Your safety is our priority, on or off the bike,  so if the weather is dangerous we may call, text or email you to reschedule. As BluBird MTB LLC, we hold the right to reschedule lessons/sessions at any time when the safety of participants is compromised due to dangerous outdoor conditions or for any other circumstances which are outside of our control. We will always try to reschedule first or a full refund will be given in these circumstances.

DAY-OF:

We suggest arriving 20 minutes prior to the start of your session, that give's you time to check-in with us and still plenty of time for you to check over your bike's functionality.

BIKES & EQUIPMENT:

You must bring a functioning mountain bike, that fits you and is capable of riding on dirt single track trails.  All participants are required to wear a helmet that is certified to the CPSC standard.  Helmet's are required any time on a bike. We don't require, but recommended that participants also wear protective sunglasses, bike-specific gloves, and possibly knee and/or elbow pads. A hydration pack is great for storing extra clothing, snacks, water, and necessary bike tools and/or other equipment.

WEATHER:

Participants should be aware that weather patterns can develop quickly and our mountain environments require extra attention and proper gear like sunscreen and rain jackets in the same day.

LOCATIONS:

Not all session locations will have bathrooms available so please be prepared go out in nature.

MEDICAL AND OTHER CONCERNS:

Mountain biking is an inherently dangerous sport with unpredictable risks. Minor injuries (scrapes, sprains, scratches, and bruises) can occur, as well as major injuries (concussions, broken bones, and heart attacks). There is always a chance of catastrophic injuries including paralysis and death. All participants are required to sign the BluBird MTB Instruction liability waiver and by doing so they are agreeing that they, as participants, understand and agree to assuming responsibility for the risks and dangers of mountain biking and that they know of no personal disability or medical condition, physical or mental, which may affect their ability to take part in their session, lesson, clinic or activity.  BluBird MTB Instruction will provide participants with experience-based skills and drills in safe outdoor environment and provide them with a fully qualified and insured coach. Participants will not be required to attempt or perform skills they do not feel comfortable with, yet it we recommend checkin that your insurance policy covers mountain adventure activities. Participants are encouraged to ride within their own limits and riding level.
